What does a hearing assessment cost?

Our hearing assessments are free. Private hearing aids and separate services may involve a charge; we will explain the options and costs before you decide. A hearing test does not mean you need to buy hearing aids.

If you have a blocked-ear sensation, ask about our ear wax removal service. Wax removal is not automatically included in a hearing assessment.

When to seek urgent help

If hearing loss is sudden, worsens over days or weeks, or comes with earache or discharge, ask for an urgent GP appointment or contact NHS 111 instead of waiting for a routine test. Read the NHS advice on hearing loss.
